Hello Jimena, Software Engineering can be very interesting as the field seems to be functioning on all of the graphics, designs and outline of what we often see on social media platforms, web sites, video games etc. Software Engineering can be very useful in giving billions of internet users around the world a positive experience on the web. All three of the given sources seem to be heading in the same direction regarding the functionality of Software Engineering, all of them point out it is the process of designing, testing and maintaining the attributes of software, although I expected the definitions to vary to great extent the scholarly, primary, and secondary sources all have the same perspective on Software Engineering.

  8. Good software engineers have access to good opportunities. Good work life balance, high pays, nice locations and remote work. The competition to enter into the entry-level roles in software engineering is insane. Pretty much every kid is told to become a software engineer, tons of college students switch their degrees and paths to become software engineers, and tons of professionals are reskilling via certifications, bootcamps or by even going back to get additional degrees. The amount of people spending their post-work hours learning data structures and algorithms is insane.
